About Us
Vernon Family Farm is located on 33 conserved acres in Newfields, NH along the Piscassic River and route 87. We are a pastured livestock farm with a focus on giving above-average care to our animals, the land, and inviting our community to join us in our efforts and passions. Chicken is our main jam, and we raise over 20,000 Ross 708s for meat birds, and over 200 egg-laying birds (including some funny ducks and geese). Our chickens are raised with nonGMO feed, Halal-certified, USDA-certifed, and pasture-raised right here on Vernon Family Farm. Our family and our crew love being able to provide an easier way to eating local year-round, while also inviting you to experience life on the farm.

Practices
Our farm practices a grass-based agriculture system, or pasture-raised. This means that our cows, sheep, and chickens (and guard llama) forage on fresh grass every day, to allow a healthy, natural diet, and a systematic rotation of the pastured areas to boost grass and native plant health to then continue to support life in the local ecology. We also feed our broiler chickens a non-GMO corn and soy grain, and our egg-laying birds organic, soy-free grain from Green Mountain Feeds, a local grainery in Vermont. We continuously strive to reduce waste, improve our regenerative practices, and create community events that bring locals together, while eating finger-licking good, local chicken.

About Us
Valicenti Pasta Farm is a small company in its 12th year of operation made up of a small group of woke folk who work diligently to make beautiful fresh pasta, unique ravioli varieties, and small batch sauces. Our mission is to grow, make and provide good, wholesome, locally made, real food for ourselves, our neighbors and the surrounding New England communities.

Practices
Valicenti Pasta Farm is a working farm growing the ingredients to produce its farmstead pasta sauces, seasonal varieties of gourmet ravioli, and to flavor its unique fresh pasta. We make and package everything in our commercial kitchen inside our converted red barn in Hollis, NH. In addition to the vegetables and herbs that we grow, we partner with other local, small, and like-minded organic practicing farms, dairies, and producers to source dairy, cheese, meats and grain flours. We use only real ingredients in our products – no preservatives, no hormones, and nothing artificial or synthetic. Everything is made in small batches so we know each batch is just right, especially with chefs experienced in the world of fine dining. We work hard so you can enjoy the fruits of our labor…well pasta in our case.

About Us
Two Farmers Farm is a Certified Organic four-season vegetable farm located on a historic family farmstead in Scarborough, Maine. Our fields lie between the clamor of cars and trucks on Route 1 and the delicate ecology of Scarborough’s saltwater marshes. We are passionate about feeding our friends and neighbors while protecting the unique ecosystems that surround us.

Our land has been farmed since the 1800’s, and we began farming it in 2012. We are proud to be continuing the agrarian tradition on this unique property. We manage about 15 acres of total cropland, and we use that acreage to rotate 5 acres of mixed vegetables and 10 acres of soil-building cover crops every season.

Our soils are a combination of sandy loam and loamy sand – beautiful, light soils that grow excellent root crops, tomatoes, salad greens, celery and more. Our well-drained fields are also well suited to winter vegetable production, which we undertake inside our large high tunnels and smaller hoop houses. We are just a few miles from the ocean, and the sea breeze helps keep our crops healthy and disease-free. The woods, brooks and marsh that surround our farm provide natural habitat for beneficial insects and critters that support our cropland.

Practices
CERTIFIED ORGANIC by the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association (MOFGA). Like all certified organic farms, we are also 100% non-GMO.

GAP CERTIFIED by the US Department of Agriculture. This “Good Agricultural Practices” certification is a federal food safety program and demonstrates our commitment to providing safe, healthful food to our community.

FSMA COMPLIANT as determined by the US Food and Drug Administration.
